C’est un Suduiraut droit mais aussi opulent, avec un fruité très pur, une liqueur parfaitement intégrée, et une belle finale, portée par une jolie acidité. L’attaque est à la fois riche et fraiche. La liqueur se traduit en bouche par des notes d’agrumes confits puis vient le boisé, la réglisse, qui soulignent une finale suave et fruitée. Offert par ce millésime solaire, on perçoit un très grand potentiel inscrivant ce 2009 dans la lignée des très grands Sauternes

Le raisin arrive dans des bacs qui sont vidés dans un pressoir pneumatique moderne, horizontal. Le pressurage dure beaucoup plus longtemps que pour les vins blancs secs. Il faut environ 4 heures ou plus pour presser le contenu. Ce sont les jus les plus riches qui sortent les derniers.

Terroir
The Sauternes terroir covers 2,200 hectares 40 km from Bordeaux, between the left bank of the Garonne and the Landes forest. The Sauternes appellation takes in the communes of Sauternes, Bommes, Fargues, Preignac and Barsac. The Suduiraut estate extends over 200 hectares, of which 92 hectares are under vine, on soils composed essentially of sandy-clay gravel. The region's microclimate brings sunny, warm autumn afternoons following the morning mists. This causes, or at least stimulates, the appearance on the grapes of Botrytis cinerea, or noble rot.
