Tasting
The palate is elegant, suave, round and offers fat, nice definition, precision, a mineral frame, tension, good harmony, depth as well as a fine acidity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh blackberry, juicy blackcurrant and slight notes of raspberry associated with a hint of red berries/fresh redcurrants as well as hints of toasted wood and mocha/chocolate.

Label
Winemaking
Light crushing during vatting. Cold pre-fermentation maceration lasting approximately 10 days at a temperature of 8°C. Classic vinification with light daily pump-over Long fermentation: 30 to 35 days
Ageing
Malolactic fermentations in barrels. Aged 70% in new barrels.
Terroir
The fragmented layout of the property offers an interesting diversity of soils, with three main types of terroir: clay-limestone and clay-gravel soils suited to Merlot, clay-gravel and gravel soils for Cabernet Sauvignon, and gravel for Petit Verdot. A soil survey has been carried out parcel by parcel. At once firm and unctuous, this is a wine of great character and great ageing potential, born to span decades. The generous proportion of Merlot in the blend also makes it very enjoyable in its early years.
