Tasting
The Haut-Batailley 2011 reveals a deep and brilliant red color. The bouquet reveals delicious aromas of black fruits and spices. On the palate, the tannins, very ripe and very seductive, amplify the fruit and balance of this wine. The whole has a beautiful, elegant, suave and pure structure. In this vintage, we find the charm and finesse of the Haut-Batailley terroir.

Ageing
In French oak barrels (fine grain) including 60% new oak for 16 to 18 months depending on the vintage.
Terroir
The distinctive character of the Haut-Batailley terroir comes from its situation in the south of the Pauillac appellation, on the border with Saint-Julien. The influence of this neighbouring appellation is felt in the cru, where one finds the grace, charm and delicacy that stand for a femininity often less marked in the wines of Pauillac. This harmonious complexity gives the wine character and a great deal of personality.
