Tasting
Beautiful deep ruby color with brilliant reflections. Complex nose of black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberries) and cherries. Smells of jam jars tinged with notes of sweet spices (cinnamon, vanilla) and coffee. On the palate the attack is supple and warm, characterized by a balance between power and freshness. Cinnamon and black cherry intermingle revealing very mature, suave and powerful tannins. The overall impression is harmonious, the finish is long and suggests a very bright future.

Winemaking
Although very attentive to technological progress, the production of Château Castéra wines respects traditional winemaking methods: rigorous sorting of the grapes, daily pump-over, regulation of temperatures, vatting for 18 to 22 days.
Ageing
After ageing for 12 months in French oak barrels (30-40% new), the wine is bottled at the château, stored in our cellars for 24 months.
