Tasting
The 2020 vintage marks a new era, full of ambitions, with the arrival of the Moulin Family. A very precise selection in our historical clay plots gives a very distinctive and atypical blend with the highest percentage of Cabernet in the history of the estate. The wine has a very expressive and intense nose with a full body structure and smooth, elegant tannins. Winemaking
Harvest September 9th-23rd. Precise plot and intra-plot selection, harvest separated from all co-planted and diseased vines. Placed in cold chambers to cool down the crop to 6°C. Meticulous selection and strict sorting: manually per parcel, automatic destemmer and final sorting table by hand. Parcel based vinification in small, thermoregulated, concrete vats. Cold pre-fermentation maceration followed by alcoholic fermentation.
Ageing
50% New Oak, 6 different coopers, small selection aged in amphora, 16 months. Malolactic fermentation in new barrels for the best Merlot plots.
Terroir
Soil: Deep Gravel and Clay. Size: 10.5 hectares. Altitude: Pomerol Plateau 38m.
