Tasting
It combines power and elegance, complexity and balance, purity and refinement. The nose is very elegant and charming, chocolatey. On the palate, very fine structure, silky tannins, light truffle notes.

Winemaking
In small temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in tank, in a separate room. Bottling may be preceded by light filtration.
Ageing
18 months in oak barrels (20 to 30% new).
Terroir
The vineyard of Château Nénin forms a single block with the exception of one parcel. In the context of the Pomerol appellation, where estates rarely exceed 10 hectares, Château Nénin represents a considerable area: 32 hectares of vines in production. Its terroir consequently encompasses the full diversity of soils that characterises Pomerol. It consists mainly of Oligocene deposits covered by alluvial gravel formations from the Dordogne: clays and siliceous gravels, quartz, granite, iron pan (crasse de fer) and basalt pebbles. The vines of Château Nénin are planted on the finest clay-gravel terroirs of the Pomerol plateau.
