Tasting
Château Mouton Rothschild 2025 is emblematic of vintages allowing the achievement of optimal maturity of the grapes. It expresses great immediate aromatic depth with very fine notes of small black fruits, blackberry, perfectly ripe blackcurrant, without excess; and this characteristic, almost mineral touch of graphite, which, combined with mocha, brings the inimitable signature of Mouton Rothschild. It offers a form of opulence with its fleshy, ample, intense texture, but with a certain tension and restraint of great vintages in which the terroir dominates the climatology. The tannins are velvety, dense and very well defined. The omnipresence of the sun and the heat during several months of the year, combined with the coolness of the end of summer, allowed us to reveal all the nobility of the Cabernet Sauvignon grown on this unique terroir, and which sits majestically in the 2025 blend.

Terroir
Château Mouton Rothschild has 84 hectares of vines in Pauillac, planted with the varieties typical of the region: Cabernet Sauvignon (80%), Merlot (16%), Cabernet Franc (3%) and Petit Verdot (1%). This premier cru enjoys exceptional natural conditions, both in the quality of its soils and in their exposure and sunshine. The Château brings together all the conditions for an exceptional terroir: a rise of nearly 8 m of dense, poor Garonne gravels resting on a marl-limestone base shot through with traces of iron oxide.
