Tasting
Garnet color with brilliant reflections, very intense. The nose, marked by notes of crème de cassis, evolves into slightly smoky and woody aromas tinged with sweet spices and stewed black fruits. Licorice brings freshness. On the palate, the soft and warm attack is very pleasant. The overall impression is very harmoniously balanced, finishing with a dominant “kirshe” cherry.

Winemaking
Although very attentive to technological progress, the production of Château Castéra wines respects traditional winemaking methods: rigorous sorting of the grapes, daily pump-over, regulation of temperatures, vatting for 18 to 22 days.
Ageing
After ageing for 12 months in French oak barrels, the wine is bottled at the Château and stored in the Château cellars for 24 months.
