Terroir
Le terroir de Château Prieuré-Lichine est essentiellement composé de graves déposées par le fleuve au cours des débâcles glaciaires successives du Quaternaire. Le ruissellement a ensuite découpé ces sols sédimentaire en croupes bien drainées, qui, de nos jours, font face à la Gironde. Produit d'un passé géologique sans équivalent, les terroirs de Château Prieuré-Lichine, sont, à plus d'un titre, particulièrement représentatifs de l'appellation Margaux. Les grands terroirs viticoles du Médoc en général, de Margaux, et de Château Prieuré-Lichine en particulier, sont essentiellement assis sur des sols de graves, conglomérat de galets, de graviers, de sables et de sédiments argileux apportés par le fleuve.
