Footprint, parcels and their split are measured on the Compagnie Médocaine’s own parcel survey; elevation, slope and aspect on the Mapbox terrain-rgb digital terrain model, derived from IGN’s RGE ALTI over France. It is on an exceptional terroir that, while respecting a generous and delicate style, efforts in precision are being made to raise Poujeaux to the summit.
The vineyard of Château Poujeaux extends in a single block to the north-east of Moulis, on the gravel rises of Grand-Poujeaux. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot take the lion's share of the property's plantings, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc accounting for only 10% of the vines. Plot-by-plot management of this fine terroir makes it possible to respect the personality of each parcel and each variety, and gives Château Poujeaux its unique character.
Alcohol, yield and vine age are those of the 2025 vintage; they vary from year to year. Only the area above stays stable from one vintage to the next.
