Tasting
"Dark, intense, purple colour. Fine, fruity, fresh and floral nose. Immediately delicate on the palate, in the manner of a Margaux. Then the wine melts on the mid-palate, very fruity and flavoursome, on a slender body, very fruity and flavoursome. Long, fine-grained finish with great radiance and inky nuances. It is very good! Winemaking
The grapes are picked by hand and taken to the vat room in small crates. After meticulous manual sorting, completed by optical sorting, the most beautiful berries are delicately sent to the vats for vinification. The extraction of tannins and anthocyanins is carefully measured to obtain the most elegant wines. The final blend is made during ageing with the wines from the best plots.
Ageing
La Lagune is aged in French oak barrels, 50% of which are renewed every year. The wines are racked several times during their maturation, in order to eliminate the heavy lees and favour maturation on fine lees. The wine is fined with egg white just before bottling.

Terroir
The terroir of La Lagune is considered by the famous geologist René Pijassou as the Médoc island model. Made up of light gravel and silica, it gives the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot the grace, balance and finesse that characterise the wines of La Lagune.
