"A shimmering, effervescent and sumptuous flavor, like a bouquet of freshly cut flowers (tulips, roses), makes for a divine bouquet. The finesse of the material is enchanting, like silk flowing and rippling between the fingers. Carried by an elegant, dynamic minerality, the palate reveals notes of slate and stone. Fine tannins set the mouth watering, ahead of a saline finish that is truly mouthwatering." - Le Figaro

Terroir
Château d’Issan has two distinctive features: the vines are almost entirely enclosed by walls and, unlike its neighbours, the estate grows no Cabernet Franc. The soils form a fine terroir of Günzian gravels and clay-limestone land.
