Le Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste 2025 est une nouvelle fois marqué par une très belle proportion de cabernet sauvignon (76%) qui s’inscrit dans la lignée des très grands millésimes de la propriété, alliant profondeur, précision et élégance. La bouche, ample et structurée, dévoile des tanins fins et une belle fraîcheur, signature du terroir. Un vin racé, complet et harmonieux, fidèle au style du château.

Winemaking

Le cuvier gravitaire, mis en service pour ces vendanges 2025, constitue l’un de nos projets les plus structurants des 10 dernières années. Mûri depuis 2016, le chantier démarre en octobre 2023, il incarne une vision : progresser sans rompre avec l’esprit du lieu.

Pensé pour s’intégrer à l’architecture du domaine, le bâtiment est semi-enterré, favorisant le travail par gravité et la régulation thermique naturelle.

Le cuvier comprend 24 cuves inox, permettant une lecture parcellaire plus fine, avec des volumes adaptés (99 hl et 76 hl) associé à une thermorégulation glycolée. L’ensemble a été conçu dans une logique pragmatique d’excellence opérationnelle : ergonomie, sécurité (captation du CO₂ fermentaire), performance énergétique, optimisation des flux de vendange et du travail quotidien.

Terroir

Grand-Puy-Lacoste enjoys an exceptional terroir. The soil is made up of gravels, that is to say alluvial stones that provide excellent drainage. The distinctive character of the Médoc soil is part of a history going back two million years, for the gravels are geological witnesses of the Quaternary era. These stones, brought down from the Pyrenees and carried by the Garonne, were deposited over time on the banks of the Gironde, its estuary. Today the layers, of varying depth, are made up of gravel mixed with sand and a little clay. This gravelly soil has the advantage of retaining heat and returning it to the vine at night, which eliminates excessive temperature swings and encourages the harmonious ripening of the bunches.
