Overall reading of the year’s season across Haut-Médoc. An estate can depart from it sharply, in frost or hail years, where two neighbours did not make the same vintage. What this particular wine actually gave is on its technical sheet and in the scores above.
Tasting
The nose is expressive, with beautiful aromas of black fruits, enhanced with notes of licorice, spices and a touch of menthol. The attack is supple, the tannic structure is precise and of great finesse. The palate seduces with the richness of its fruit and the density of its substance, while retaining a lot of elegance. Château Belgrave 2025 stands out here with a very nice balance between concentration, freshness and finesse, suggesting a wine with strong potential.
